About Us
Peggyslea Clydesdales is a family business run by a mother and daughter team. Together we compete our clydesdales all over the country in ridden and driving classes. Throughout the years our team of clydesdales have excelled in these disciplines and two of the team have taken us to the Horse of the year show three times in the ridden class.
Our aim with the experience is to share our passion for these magnificent horses and give you the chance to get up close and personal with these gentle giants.
The experience is a chance for you to gain knowledge on Scotland's native breed, and to provide an insight of the work involved to get one of these impressive horses ready to compete.
Here at Peggyslea we offer a unique experience with our clydesdales and provide you with a fun filled day going for a carriage drive around the grounds with two of our beautiful clydesdales. To make the experience extremely special you will be given the opportunity to drive one of our clydesdales on your own!

Woody joined the team as a two year old in 2016. He is a firm favourite with the public at shows due to his laid back nature.
Woody only competes in driving classes as he isn't too keen on the ridden.
He is a very important part when in comes to driving classes as he competes in the pair, unicorn, single dray and ladies cart.

Lizzie came over from Ireland and joined the team in 2019.
We are hoping she will be an important team member as one of our breeding mares.
Lizzie is also currently in training under saddle which we have high hopes for.

Storm is our newest member of the team only joining us in 2020.
As he is only a yearling he has not started his training yet but next year his training will begin.
We have very high expectations of him and expect him to excel in all disciplines such as riding and driving.

Lily (left) has been with the team for three years and has completed two show circuits. She is now a very well known Peggyslea mascot.
Pippa (right) has been with the team for two years she hasn't made it onto the the show circuit yet. Never the less she is still a very valuble team mascot.
